Chairperson

Nayan Chandra is a Master of Public Policy Graduate from the University of Chicago, with a concentration in International Development Policy and Finance. His academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to solving global policy challenges through interdisciplinary thinking and cross-sector collaboration. With a strong interest in international relations and political systems, Nayan has been actively involved in more than 50 MUN conferences and parliamentary debates at the national and international levels, since 2016, developing a keen understanding of diplomacy and multilateral negotiation. In recognition of his expertise, Nayan was invited to serve as an Assistant Director at the prestigious Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) conference in Beijing. Beyond the MUN circuit, Nayan has built a diverse portfolio of experiences in policy research and implementation, having worked on a range of policy projects across India and the United States. His work spans engagements with state governments, leading policy think tanks, political consulting firms, and organizations focused on social and economic development. Through these roles, he has contributed to initiatives aimed at improving public service delivery and governance reform.

Alishaan is an incoming freshman at University of Toronto, eyeing a career in international law. He has garnered experience from over 45 conferences at the capacity of an executive board memeber, delegate and secretariat member- and hopes to enlighten like-minded people and enthusiastic delegates about global affairs and diplomacy as a whole. Besides dedicating the best years of his life to UN simulations, he also finds time to engage in amateur kickboxing and the eloquent sport of MMA.

Hrithika Khaitan is a recent IBDP graduate from Chirec International and will soon be pursuing a degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. In her free time, she can be found playing with her two Shih Tzus—Milo & Miso—getting coffee with friends, planning her next trip, or rewatching her favorite films. With over 20 MUN conferences under her belt, debate has been a significant part of her life and she is profoundly excited to share her passion and experience with all the delegates at Oak MUN 2025.
